Content warnings: stress

Journal 5

I truly don’t know how to keep myself together. Today was evidence that my procrastination has gotten out of hand. I had a set schedule, yet I found myself pushing off the simplest tasks farther and farther—even simple things, like doing my laundry or sending an email.

It seems like my life is a never-ending checklist. I can’t tell if it truly goes on forever, or if my procrastination is just holding me back from fulfilling it, but the constant reminder of the things I have to do is exhausting. I miss when I was a child, when things were still simple and glossed over with a rosy sheen. The path to adulthood has grown even more difficult with every step. All I want is a sense of peace with where I’m at and for the voices in my head telling me to do more to be quiet for once.
