Content Warnings: Invalidation, self-doubt
Today, as I was trying to do my daily journaling and reflection, I realized that what I was writing was not okay. When I have put these feelings or happenings into verbal words before, they didn’t seem so serious. However, seeing them on paper, right in front of me, was mind-altering. I am now able to see that my experiences are valid and I shouldn’t be doubting what I have gone through.
It is okay to want to be sure of yourself and think things through before going through a course of action, but don’t deny what actually happened or the way it made you feel. It is okay to not be okay. It is not wrong to be right. Allow yourself the space to reflect and understand what you went through, while also keeping in touch with your emotions. Stay mindful, stay vigilant, stay yourself.
