Content Warning: anxiety

 

Hey buddy,

 

I hope you are doing well and, if not, that’s okay too. You are not alone in your struggles and you have more power inside you than you know. When you are feeling periods of severe anxiety, and it feels like there is no escape, there are a few things that help me when I feel that way as well. First, I try to remember that the feeling does not last forever, and that you will be okay after this period of elevated anxiety. This can be difficult to remember because it is tough to think clearly when feeling anxious. Also, I try to remember and remind myself I have been in this state before and I have come out feeling better, again saying that this will not last forever. Obviously, this is easier said than done, but these tools helped and continue to help me now. I have had serious anxiety issues in the past and present. Working through those emotions is a difficult journey, but you can do it. You are stronger than you think, and nothing can stop you. I hope this can help and bring you comfort. Remember that you are not alone and you will be okay.
